Lauren has been working in the field of food and nutrition for over a decade. She thrived during her undergraduate studies at Cal State Long Beach in Dietetics & Food Administration and earned Outstanding Graduate from the College of Health & Human Services as well as a citizenship award for her extensive volunteer work. Then she completed a Master of Public Health Nutrition and a Dietetic Internship at UC Berkeley. Her studies focused on Maternal & Child Health as well as Food Policy & Advocacy. After several years of working in nutrition education, she pursued her passion for delicious and healthy food by completing a 6 month Professional Chef training at Laguna Culinary Arts.
Lauren's nutrition background and culinary skills provide a unique blend of resources to help you meal plan, shop, cook, and eat better. She seeks inspiration from seasonal foods at farmer's markets, international cuisine, cooking magazines, and a large library of cookbooks.
